Ms. Moore holds a BA in Psychology from North Carolina State University and a MA in Counselor Education from North Carolina Central University. She also holds K-4 Certification in Elementary Education from Meredith College. She is a member of the North Carolina School Counselor Association and the North Carolina Association of Educators, and is a counselor mentor.

She began working in Wake County as a fourth grade teacher in 1991. In 1994, she became an elementary school counselor in WCPSS. Before joining the Martin staff, Ms. Moore was a middle school counselor at an alternative middle school.

In her free time, Ms. Moore enjoys traveling, reading, scrap booking, playing tennis, and playing golf.
